Laying Patio Tiles on Pedestals

Groundwork

Lay concrete slabs as a base for the pedestals. The spacing depends on the size of the porcelain stoneware tiles. Lay the concrete slabs in rows with a joint spacing of 35 mm. If the slabs are laid end-to-end, the edges may chip. Then lay gravel honeycomb pavers and insert the frost-proof patio tiles at a suitable distance from each other. Fill the honeycomb pavers with gravel and spread it out with a broom.

Caution

For reasons of breakage and risk of accidents, the distance between the pedestals must not exceed 40 cm and the clearance height under the slabs must not exceed 6 cm. Regularly shaped patio tiles, whether made of concrete or cut natural stone, are usually laid in a bed of chippings. For 15 square meters, you will need approximately the following:
